First Stop - Boise, ID

I have taken that step. Actually I have taken lots of them. I am now 2 miles "closer" to my first stop. As I was running I thought to myself "wow, if you are only running 1 mile a day then you are going to be running the rest of your life just to make it to the capitols. But...you are running - well, walking fast - and that's good since you didn't want to exercise today. So good job!"

So, I have started my thousand mile journey...

The First Step Is The Hardest

So, my starting info:
Weight: 177.2

My New Journey

So I am attempting to get into shape, and I don't like running. Sounds odd seeing as my page is about running. But, I found a way to get me excited to run. I am going to "run" (walk, jog) around the world. Not literally. For example, it is 5 miles from my house to Target-I run 5 miles on my treadmill and BAM I just "ran" to Target!

So, because running around the world sounds daunting, I have broken it up into smaller parts. And they go as follows:
Coast to Coast- I will be running to all the state capitols from Alaska to Maine and everywhere in between.

Oh Canada! - running to the major cities in Canada...obviously.

South Of The Border - hitting major cities in central and south America.

Cairo to Cape - running around Africa.

From Russia with love - once again, hitting major cities...

Backpacking through Europe - blah, blah, blah major cities, you get my drift.

The Great Wall and Beyond - Asia...

Down Under There - Aussie and such

Baby It's Cold - run the length of the Artic and Antarctica

A Hop, Skip and a Jump - hitting the islands and other random places.

We'll see how far I can get and how long it actually takes me. I'll do my best to update my progress. If there is any suggested places to "stop" let me know. K thats all...
